ABOUT THESE TRAININGS

An in-person Trail Skills College event to learn about trail maintenance and stewardship.

What you’ll learn

In the 2023 event, in partnership with Deschutes Trails Coalition, Pacific Crest Trail Association, Discover Your Forest & Trailkeepers of Oregon, we hosted the 12th annual Allingham Trail Skills College on the Sisters Ranger District.

The 4-day event featured a variety of classes, lectures and opportunities for hands-on skills building related to trail repairs, crew and project management, trail design and layout, equipment maintenance and local ecosystems. Attendees, in turn, dedicate their time and energy to volunteering across trails in Central Oregon.

A huge thanks to all of the folks who donated their time & knowledge to instructing during the event and to those who attended as students to gain skills and network with local trails partners.
